We're seeking a Warehouse Manager who will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations and the daily shipping and distribution of all customer orders for our Shorewood dealership. This role will manage both the Parts Delivery Driver and Warehouse teams to drive financial and operational success and identify opportunities to improve warehouse and delivery processes.
Compensation & Benefits:
We're seeking a Warehouse Manager who will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations and the daily shipping and distribution of all customer orders for our Shorewood dealership. This role will manage both the Parts Delivery Driver and Warehouse teams to drive financial and operational success and identify opportunities to improve warehouse and delivery processes.
Essential Skills & Functions:
- Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
- Comply with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforce adherence to requirements and advise management on needed actions.
- Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures, safety meetings and protocols.
- Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconcile with data storage system.
- Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implement new design layouts; inspect equipment and issue work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
- Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
- Complete warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results.
- Maintain warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
- Maintain warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; plan, monitor, and appraise job results.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; review professional publications, establish personal network, and participate in professional societies.
- Train all parts personnel on properly operating forklift.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- High school diploma or GED (required).
- At least 5 years of experience in warehousing and/or logistics.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Compensation: $60,000-$67,000 base salary. Compensation will be determined based on experience, competencies, certifications, and education.
