What you will be doing
As a Technician Trainer you will be responsible for Class 5-8 equipment training, diagnostics, and safety training of technicians for a high-level fleet customer with multiple locations within your region. The job responsibilities are outlined below.
- Responsible for conducting training courses for new and existing TransChicago technicians.
- Responsible for conducting training courses for technicians from other Freightliner dealers and TransChicago customers.
- Partner with service managers regarding employee training needs.
- Organize, develop, or source training programs to meet specific training needs.
- Inform technicians about training options.
- Facilitate learning through a variety of delivery methods including classroom instruction, virtual training, on-the-job coaching.
- Provide feedback to program participants and management.
- Attend continuing education courses to learn about new products and repair/diagnostic techniques.
- Maintain in-house training facilities and equipment as needed.
- Attend technician career events
- High school diplomas or general education degree.
- Expert Certification on Freightliner, M2, Detroit Required.
- ASE Master Certification Required.
- 1 year of related or industry experience Required.
- 5 years of Dealership experience Preferred.
- 2 years as a trainer with presentation of curriculum in a classroom setting preferred.
