What you will be doing
The Parts Manager directs and coordinates the activities of personnel engaged in selling and distributing parts and supplies.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Establishes policies and procedures to maximize inventory security and minimize loss.
- Builds loyal clientele and fosters good relationships with customers.
- Assists General Manager with setting and obtaining sales and profit objectives.
- Helps prepare and administer the annual operating budget.
- Collaborates with the Accounting Department on all accounting schedules related to the Parts Department.
- Assists with collecting past due accounts.
- Works with other department managers to resolve interdepartmental challenges.
- Familiar with parts operations, shipping and receiving procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Experience with ADP preferable.
- Strong math and computer skills.
- Strong time management skills, ability to effectively handle multiple projects concurrently.
- Positive attitude / self-motivated; works independently to resolve issues and problems as well as ability to work in a team environment.
- Must be able to prioritize and work well under pressure in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
